THE 7TH ANNUAL HALLOWEENSIE CONTEST!!!!! ~ FOR CHILDREN’S WRITERS ~

Been a long time since I blogged here, but here we go!
the rules
100 words), using the words candy cornmonster, and shadow. (Candy corn will be counted as 1 word.)

Pumpkin Eve

Moon shining, cats meowing, mini monsters and Super heroes – Shazam!

Out on the darkest night, rustling through leaves – or is that ghosts?

Werewolves skip along like it was broad daytime.
Black cats and wizards. Princesses, knights and dragons.

All are on a quest – to bring home the most treasure. Aye Matey! Pirates, too!
Candy corn is really gold coins,  yet on Halloween only – with a sweetness – is it witches magic?  When you take that bite, will you lose your shadow?

Drag your bags heavy and full.  Before the candles burn out, and you are lost, run home!

    1. Most people actually want to give up their shadows. I’ve been doing shadow work through dances for a long long time. But I think I would truly miss it if it left forever. Hey, remember when kids used to use candy corn to make fake fangs or teeth?

  1. Lovely job creating a spooky and delightful Halloween atmosphere! And you’ve certainly convinced me not to try those candy corns – wouldn’t want to lose my shadow! But I’m more of a chocolate-lover anyway 🙂 Thanks so much for joining in the Halloweensie fun!
